Dr. Lucas reviews your photographs and medical history, indicates whether there is a surgical indication, which technique, and whether the plan fits in a single stage. You travel to São Paulo only after the surgical plan and date are confirmed; the in-person consultation happens on arrival, before surgery.

For flights longer than 5 hours, the recommendation after a facelift is 14 to 21 days, which covers the follow-up visits at 7 days and at 14 to 21 days. Body procedures such as Mommy Makeover and abdominoplasty follow similar timing. Dr. Lucas confirms the recommended stay in your surgical plan and clears the return flight only when it is safe.

Yes. Every patient needs a full cardiological assessment and laboratory tests regardless of age; most can be done at home and shared digitally for review before travel. Some complementary tests may be requested on arrival, depending on the case.

In-person visits take place at 7 days and at 14 to 21 days while you are in São Paulo. After you return home, the 2-month review and any further follow-up are done by video and message, until the final result settles between 6 and 12 months depending on the procedure. Three checks: the medical licence CRM-SP 136.298 and the specialist registration RQE 50.532 on the Brazilian Federal Council of Medicine portal, and his name in the member directory of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP). The RQE exists only for physicians with a recognised specialist title — the Brazilian equivalent of board certification.

Aesthetic surgery is not covered by Brazilian health plans and rarely by international insurance; it is planned as a private investment. What some policies cover is emergency hospital care in case of complication — confirm this with your insurer before travelling. The coordinator provides any documentation your insurer requests.
